NATURAL INGREDIENTS
A plant that has a place in both the garden and the vegetable patch: pretty and useful, not only in the kitchen. Today we are presenting rosemary and its precious essential oil, which characterises the unforgettable fragrance of A Single Shampoo
Rosemary is the common name of the aromatic plant scientifically known as Rosmarinus officinalis. It is an evergreen bush that grows in the wild along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The origin of the name would seem to come from rosa maris, i.e. sea rose, a poetic definition that emphasises the inseparable connection between the plant and its place of origin, the Mediterranean shrubland.
Rosemary flowers, blue like the sea, are beautiful. But the intense fragrance typical of this plant comes from its leaves, rich in essential oils. Together let’s look at the benefits and characteristics of rosemary!
At the Davines Village we have created a Scientific Garden managed according to the principles of organic farming. This marvellous open air laboratory is home to numerous plants that are also contained in our formulas. For example the rosemary and lavender of A Single Shampoo!
“
The scientific garden embodies the Davines philosophy. It combines - even sublimates - the two complementary forces that animate us: scientific training and humanistic calling. This creates a circular research model, one-of-a-kind in the world.
