Natural ingredientsare often touted for the benefits they provide to your hair and scalp. They can reduce irritation, dryness, build-up, and dehydrationwhile increasing shine, moisture, and softness.
Whilst it’s easy to see the perks of these formulas, the definition of a natural hair treatment isn’t so clear-cut. Brands often give different meanings to the word ‘natural’.
At Davines, we aim for transparencyand share the percentage of natural origin ingredients in the product description.
To us, an ingredient is defined as natural origin when 100% of its molecular structure is of natural origin, without any synthetic portion. We also formulate lines (like our Essential Haircare family) with natural origin ingredients that are easily biodegradable.
Natural ingredients come from the earth and can be gentler on your hair. However, there is a benefit to having a mix of both natural and synthetic ingredients, as it makes products good for your hair and more effective.
At Davines, we focus on using ingredients of natural origin whenever available. However, some synthetic ingredients are intentionally included as they are essential to guarantee optimal product performance, stability, and safety. In some cases, synthetic ingredients can offer more sustainability and less of an environmental impact.
