A work born by chance, five years ago, from slowness and observation. Spilling a coffee on the kitchen table, by mistake, Giulia wondered if that unpredictable movement could give life to something more.

Since 2015, imaginary cities, vessels, trees, fantastic or everyday stories have arisen within her coffee stains. Today, Giulia Bernardelli is a popular Instagram artist under the nickname Bernulia. She works with the simplest materials from nature, to reveal the magic that is hidden in everyday things.

I can't wait to buy a microscope to see - even more closely - what nature gives us. I do not consider myself as an artist, but just as an interpreter of what is already there: the most beautiful part of my work is to look closely at nature and discover the incredible complexity hidden inside it.
